100Hoog – Rotterdam Wijnhaven
Van Thiel contributed to the 100Hoog project — an impressive tower located on the Wijnhaven in Rotterdam. Thanks to its unique location in the city centre, parallel to the harbour, the building shapes the Rotterdam skyline and offers its residents panoramic views across the city. The development, designed by Klunder Architecten, includes 152 apartments, 1,050 m² of commercial space and 165 parking spaces.
On the south side, the façade is dominated by glass, while the other sides are characterised by striking brickwork. The 33-storey building was made possible in part by SIW Steigerwerken, who erected a remarkable scaffold over 100 metres high — fully assembled using Tube-Lock® and THIEL wedge couplers.
Construction of the project began in 2011 and was completed in December 2013.
