Van Thiel was involved in the Groene Kaap project, located in Katendrecht, Rotterdam — a former harbour area that has been transformed into a trendy urban district. The project comprises four buildings and five residential towers, all interconnected by various bridges and gardens. In total, the development includes 450 rental and owner-occupied homes.
The entire scaffold was assembled by SIW Steigerwerken Numansdorp using materials from the Tube-Lock® concept. With essential components such as tubes with Tube-Lock® connectors, base plates for Tube-Lock® standards, swivel and right-angle couplers, and various transoms, a solid foundation was created.
The main advantage of a Tube-Lock® scaffold lies in its flexibility: lift heights can be freely chosen, and protruding elements such as bridges and balconies are no obstacle — the scaffold can easily be adapted around them.
Van Thiel is proud to have contributed to making the Groene Kaap project a reality through this successful collaboration.
